Brandon Loynes-Drummer

Brandon Loynes is our new drummer as of May of 2023 and has been a dedicated and fantastic edition to our eclectic sound! He is not only a drummer but a percussionist, husband, father of 4, Papa to 3 grandkids, a teacher, skateboarder, golf enthusiast, lover of all art and music and a huge sports fan!

For as long as he can remember, he has been making beats on anything that would make noise. He always knew he had “the groove” in him, but his true inspiration was John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. He had heard the band for years but once he really listened, he knew what he wanted to do. He aspired to become a drummer himself. In 2003 he joined his first “real” band called Shifty Eyed Dog (a jazz fusion band) as their percussionist. They played all over Clearwater, Tampa, and St. Pete Florida. After a couple of years the band split up and he ventured on to different projects which included a reggae/rock band called Oceanstone and an original band called Ellipsis where he felt he truly started to develop and hone his skills. In his mid 30’s he decided to go to college and obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education. That decision led him back to Columbus, Ohio in 2015 where he formed a country, funk, rock and soul band called Arrowhead. Unfortunately the lead singer received a promotion she could not pass up and the band had to split. After this it was open mics just to stay in the scene until the Clark Twins approached him with an opportunity and the rest is history!
